World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Item upgrades provide players with the possibility of upgrading equipment that they already own. This can be done at any upgrader NPC.
Upgrades increase the main stat of an item and also add extras based on its type. Examples include Whistan's shield for FB sorcs and Goldwrap for build casters.

Armour
Link's armor is an essential factor in keeping him safe from danger. Although it isn't able to be upgraded like weapons, it can be improved in various ways to improve its defence capabilities.
The principle of armour is to protect a person or animal from physical harm or injury, either from direct physical attack or various dangers to the environment or activity. In the past, armour was primarily made of leather or fabric but later, protections made of metal were used as well, especially in military applications like heavy cavalry and combat drones.
There are many ways to upgrade your armour, however the majority require you to visit one of the four Great Fairy Fountains scattered throughout Hyrule. Each fountain has its own level of upgrades available with higher levels of upgrades granting higher levels of protection, and require a higher price in rupees and other materials to unlock.
The first thing to remember about Armor Upgrades is that they are upgrades that last forever and once they've been installed, they can't be replaced unless you own another piece of equipment with the same upgrade. You should only apply highest-level upgrades to your equipment, and ensure that you have all the components required to complete the process.
You can find the upgrade components you require in a variety of locations throughout Hyrule. These include shrines, merchants and even enemies. These will generally be marked with a gold circle or a blue triangle symbol, and will be available in large quantities as you advance through the game. They may appear randomly but there is a chance that obtaining certain upgrades will trigger a quest which will reward you with more.
It's also worth noting that although the level of protection offered by each upgrade differs but it's the same across all upgrades and will always be better than nothing. This is because a full set of upgraded armor will provide you with a substantial defense boost, which will shield you from all forms of attacks, except magic and makes it a formidable tool for any type of.
Weapons
You can upgrade your guns with special upgrades that make them truly unique. They can increase the damage, change the weapon's stats so that they are suited to your build, and even unlock new attachments such as unique ammo types, enchantments, and aesthetic options.
You'll require both the upgrade component as well as the weapon itself to upgrade it. The weapon must be at a certain level for the upgrade to take effect and most weapons only take one upgrade at one time.
Weapon upgrade components are available scattered throughout the world, from enemies or from merchants. The upgrade components themselves are made up of components that can be slotted into weapons, armor, trinkets, and gathering tools to grant an attribute bonus or other effect when they are in use. The equipment must be at a certain level to accept the upgrade. It is able to be upgraded in the same way as other items.
Upgrades are a mix of Smithing Stones (a type of stone) and Runes. They can be used to boost the stats of weapons and increase their effectiveness in comparison to other stats. They can be found among enemies dropped in the open world, purchased from a few merchants or found through drops during combat.
There are two NPCs who can upgrade your weapons: Blacksmith Hewg in the Roundtable Hold hub area and the Smithing Master Iji in the Road to the Manor hub area. Both of these NPCs will accept your Smithing Stones and Runes in exchange for a more powerful version of the weapon and an upgrade.
Prioritize upgrading your most-used slot items first. Then upgrade the ones you aren't likely to replace anytime soon. Upgrade your weapon first, and then upgrade your shoulders, chest, hands, and feet when you are planning to play a melee build. The same principles apply to Magic and Utility Items, with the caveat that some products may be superior to others based on the style of play you prefer. Armour is the same, with certain refining better than others.
Magic Items
A character can only upgrade one magic item. If an upgrade project is cancelled then any subsequent upgrades for the item won't begin. Upgraded magic items cost twice the amount of gold to create or purchase, but they can have other benefits.
A magical item is an item that has special properties or effects. The majority of these items are weapons, but some are also armor, shields, cloaks, potions, rings, scrolls, and other items. Some of these items may be made sentient.
The majority of magic items enhance their capabilities. This makes them more useful for a player, or it could help them conquer an especially difficult challenge. A weapon that contains some special substance could, for instance, provide additional damage against a specific kind of enemy. This is particularly beneficial for characters that have reached a point at which they are likely to encounter the same kind of monster in dungeons repeatedly.
A ring infused by magic may grant immunity to nonmagical attacks that bludgeon, pierce, or cut (excluding silver-based attacks) until the character takes another long rest. This is particularly beneficial for melee fighters or anyone looking to avoid purchasing a shield.
Some enchanted items have special abilities which allow the character to cast spells in addition to those listed on the list of spells for their class. This can be useful for a character who has difficulty keeping their spell slots full due to multiclassing. These items that are enchanted typically require an Intelligence (Arcana) check to use them, and the spell is determined by rolling on an index based on the number of Intelligence points used.
Other objects that are enchanted can permit the character's appearance to be altered or create a new appearance. These are particularly beneficial for characters who have had to leave their homes, or are in a place that they aren't welcomed. A magical item may provide them with invisibility or make them invisible for everyone, except for the chosen person.
Utility Items
Utility items are anything that does not fall into the categories of Clothing or Armor and have a variety of capabilities. Utility items aren't compatible with each other, in contrast to Armor or Weapons. Most utility items have an effect that the player can activate when using them, but some also have additional capabilities that are activated when the user presses a button or activates an ability.
The most popular kind of utility item is the Flashlight that illuminates the surrounding area. Other items of utility include the Helicopter Hat and Rocket Boots, which allow the player to be floating in the air while they move, and the Jetpack that allows the player to accelerate in any direction while on the ground. In the Engineering section, you can create instantly a variety of useful items, while others are unlocked by Research projects or experimental projects on the Proving Ground.
upgrade item can gain more powerful utility items in addition to the items that are available in their normal inventory by purchasing them at the Atomic Shop or from seasonal Scoreboard rewards. Some of these items are upgradeable for more effective use.
The majority of utility items boost an individual combat ability or provide the player with some sort of advantage in navigation. For example, Sharpening stones created by the Weaponsmith boost Ferocity and Power as well as Maintenance Oils created by the Huntsman boost the power of concentration and healing. Other useful items like Writs and Theses made by the Scribe can be used to give the player an increase in damage or condition damage.
All XCOM soldiers are capable of equipping one useful item at the beginning of the campaign, and an additional slot is made available by acquiring certain types of armor or completing engineering, research or experimental projects in the Proving Ground. During the Alien Hunters DLC, additional slots are created by equipping the Grenade Launcher, which allows the player to equip an Smoke Grenade or Bomb in an additional grenade slot while an offensive grenade is equipped in the main slot for grenades.
